Adult Ministry at St. Francis Parish

St. Francis Parish offers a variety of ways for adults of all ages to connect with others and grow their faith! Join us for one of our programs to connect with others in the Parish!

Adult Confirmation

Confirmation is the second sacrament of initiation and is associated with the other two sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism and Holy Eucharist. The sacrament of Confirmation was instituted by Christ when he conferred the Holy Spirit on his apostles on Easter Sunday. We believe Confirmation imprints an indelible character on the soul of the recipient and can received only once. The preparation for Confirmation aims at leading the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a greater familiarity with the Holy Spirit.

For more information on preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation for Adults or High School Confirmation, please contact the Parish office at 661-327-4734.

Couples for Christ

Couples for Christ (CFC) is a movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian Family Life. The members are committed themselves to the Lord and to one another so that they may grow in maturity as men and women of God and fulfill their primary vocation of raising up families under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and for the service of the kingdom of God. CFC is a work of Christ which raises up Christian Couples and establishes Christian Families committed to the work of evangelization, to winning the world for Christ and Total Human Liberation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Next Gen Bible Study

The Next Gen Bible study is an integrated group where we go over the readings that will be read during mass to get a better understanding and interpretation; not only for our Catholic faith but what is going on during mass. It is an integrated group where we hope to bridge the gab between the more seasoned Catholics to the newest or less informed people that form our church. We believe that unity and education on our faith we can help strengthen us as a whole. One of our goals is creating an environment where families can cone and ask the questions or get the information that we are looking for in regards to their faith. Kids are welcomed at the bible study.

Every Wednesday at 6PM in the Youth Center.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

RCIA is the process for adults to become full, active members of the Catholic Church. In our program, you connect with a small group, with members just like yourself, who desire to know more about the Catholic faith. Our goal is to not only help adults grow in their relationship with God, but also help them get acquainted with the faith community and become familiar with Catholic teachings and practices. Our formation program begins in September and culminates at the Easter Vigil. This journey will provide participation in the Rites of Entrance throughout the formation period. “Come and See” John 1:39
