St. Francis Parish
There are many ways to participate in our parish life, such as the various parish ministries, including liturgical ministries, becoming a choir member, altar server, lector, altar server, and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. God calls us to use our gifts and talents to glorify Him and make life better for other people. Please prayerfully consider these opportunities, as we would love to have you involved in our ministry and parish life.
Cursillo
The Cursillo Movement is a global movement of the Church which by means of its own method makes it possible for people to live what is fundamental for being a Christian, and to live it together. We aim to help people discover and fulfill their personal vocations. It promotes the creation of core groups of Christians who leaven their environments with the Gospel.

Divine Mercy Cenacle
The Divine Mercy Cenacle at St. Francis is a small faith group of the Eucharistic Apostles of The Divine Mercy. We meet to pray together in gratitude to God and in petition The Divine Mercy Chaplet; we study God’s Divine Mercy through Sacred Scripture, the Catechism, and St. Faustina’s Diary. Please join us to grow in your faith and relationship with the Lord.
Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic organization whose main purpose is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members. Our Ministry meets weekly for prayer and planning followed by at least two hours per week performing a definite work. These works include service such as bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound, parishioner visitation, religious education, Pilgrim Virgin statue rotation, etc.
The Legion of Mary acts as the extension of the hearts and hands of our pastor. Our Ministry is open to all Catholics who faithfully practice their religion, are animated by the desire to participate in the Church’s apostolate through membership in the Legion, and who are prepared to fulfill each and every duty which active membership in the Legion requires.
The Legion of Mary meets every Sunday at 11:45 a.m. in Conference Room B. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at 661-327-4734.
Right to Life of Kern County is a pro-life advocacy and education nonprofit whose mission is to promote respect for the sanctity of human from conception through natural death. We work with local youth to launch student-led pro-life youth clubs on high school and college campuses and train advocates of all ages to become persuasive champions for life. We seek to educate the public on life-affirming alternatives to abortion and assisted suicide and to persuade elected officials to uphold policies that value the sanctity of life.

Not only does this unique ministry provide Rosaries for our Parish needs such as Catechism, faith education, St. Francis School, and other ministries, but it also provides our members with fellowship, prayer time, hymns, and fun! By making Rosaries, we help in spreading the message of our Blessed Mother, but most importantly, we provide these prayer tools for those who most need them.
We ask you to prayerfully consider joining us on our mission to spread the message of Our Lady of the Rosary. We gladly welcome you to join us as we put together rosaries for the Parish.
